By creating an account or using CyberStudyLabs, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the platform. You must be at least 13 years old to use CyberStudyLabs. If you're under 18, you need a parent or guardian's permission.

You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. Don't share your account with anyone else — each subscription is for one person. If you suspect unauthorized access to your account, contact us immediately at support@cyberstudylabs.com.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period. Here's how it works:
Cancellation: You can cancel anytime. When you cancel, you keep full access until the end of your current billing period. After that, your account moves to the Free tier. We don't pro-rate or issue partial refunds.
No refunds: All purchases are final. Because CyberStudyLabs is a digital product with immediate access, we do not offer refunds once a subscription has been charged.
Price changes: We may change our pricing with at least 30 days notice. If you're on an annual plan, your rate is locked until your renewal date.

Instructor subscriptions are annual only, billed per seat with a minimum of 5 seats. The instructor account itself is free.
Cohort resets: Each Instructor subscription includes one cohort reset per year at no charge. Additional cohort resets are $99 each, requested by emailing support@cyberstudylabs.com. A cohort reset archives the current student roster and prepares the seats for a new group of students.
Graduate status: When a cohort is reset, previous students retain access to all 25 chapters and their earned badges and completion certificate for 60 days at no charge. After 60 days, their account moves to the Free tier unless they purchase their own subscription.
Seat assignment: Each seat is licensed for one active student at a time. Seats may not be shared simultaneously between multiple students.

Everything on CyberStudyLabs — the chapters, flashcards, practice exams, case studies, cheat sheets, and all other study materials — is owned by NovaCore Technologies, LLC. You may use it for your own personal study. You may not copy, distribute, sell, or reproduce any part of our content without written permission.

CyberStudyLabs is a study tool. We work hard to make it excellent, but we can't guarantee you'll pass any specific certification exam. Is CyberStudyLabs aligned with the CompTIA Security+ SY0-701 exam?›
Yes — all practice exam questions, domain scoring, and study content are mapped to the current SY0-701 exam objectives across all five domains: Threats/Vulnerabilities/Attacks, Architecture & Design, Implementation, Operations & Incident Response, and Governance/Risk/Compliance.
Do I need any prior experience to use this platform?›
No. The study guide starts from the absolute basics and builds progressively across 25 chapters. Phase 1 covers foundational concepts (networking, operating systems, security basics) before moving into detection, response, and advanced operations in Phases 2 and 3.
Can I use CyberStudyLabs on my phone or tablet?›
The app works on mobile — most sections are readable and functional on a phone browser. For the best experience we recommend a desktop or laptop, since some features like the Log Lab and Case Studies use a split-view layout that shows better on a wider screen. A full mobile-optimized version is on the roadmap.

How do I cancel my subscription?›
You can cancel anytime from your Account Settings page. Your access continues until the end of your current billing period — there are no partial refunds for unused time, but you will never be charged again after cancellation.
Can I switch between plans?›
Yes. Upgrading takes effect immediately and you are charged the prorated difference. Downgrading takes effect at your next billing cycle — you keep your current plan's features until then.
What payment methods do you accept?›
We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover) via Stripe. All payments are processed securely — we never store your card details.
Is there a free trial for paid plans?›
The Free tier lets you explore the platform before committing — you get access to the first 3 chapters, 10 flashcards, and your streak tracker and badges. No credit card required to start.
Content & Features
How often is content updated?›
We update the question banks, case studies, and log exercises regularly — at minimum quarterly. When CompTIA updates the Security+ exam objectives, we update the practice exam content within 30 days. All subscribers get updates automatically at no extra cost.
Will my progress be saved if I close the browser?›
Yes — your progress (chapters read, flashcards known, exam scores, streak, badges) is saved automatically in your browser's local storage. Once user accounts are live, progress will sync to the cloud so you can access it from any device.
What is the difference between Student and Pro?›
Student gives you full access to all 25 chapters, flashcards, the complete practice exam, log lab, 8 case studies, and 55 interview questions. Pro adds: personalized quick quiz based on your weak domains, expanded question banks, exam history tracking, fill-in-blank typed scenarios, and AI-powered answer analysis (coming soon).
When will AI features be available?›
AI-powered answer analysis for typed scenarios and interview questions is currently in development and is planned for Pro and Instructor tiers. Pro subscribers will get access automatically when it launches — no additional charge. Join the waitlist on the Pricing page to be notified first.
Technical Issues
The app isn't loading correctly. What should I try?›
Try these steps in order: 1) Hard refresh the page (Ctrl+Shift+R on Windows, Cmd+Shift+R on Mac), 2) Clear your browser cache, 3) Try a different browser (Chrome or Edge recommended), 4) Disable browser extensions temporarily. If none of these work, submit a ticket below and include which browser and OS you are using.
I lost my progress. Can it be recovered?›
Progress is currently stored in your browser's local storage. If you cleared your browser data, switched browsers, or used a different device, progress may not carry over. This is why we are building cloud account sync — once that is live, your progress will be tied to your account, not your browser.
